Adrienne Prather - Editor

 

Adrienne Prather was born in Atlanta Georgia. She graduated from Mount Zion High school and went on to Atlanta Metropolitan College where she received an Associate of Arts in Mass Communications. She is currently attending Georgia State University majoring in Journalism and minoring in Sociology.

Her passion is writing and that drive lead her through the help of her mentor Josie Terry, to publish a book of poetry entitled Reflections of Love inspirational poetry, which focuses on the love of God through different situations and circumstances that arises in our lives. Some of the poems are personalized and can be read and enjoyed by every member of the family. The message she delivers in her book is to stay motivated and connected to God in every area of our lives.

Her books are in Medu Bookstore in Greenbriar Mall owned by Nia Damali, Nubian Bookstore owned by Marcus Williams in Southlake Mall, Rose of Sharon owned by Verlene Scott and Joy Unspeakable Bookstore owned by Mr. George Terrell. All of the stores have been very supportive of her goals and desires to write and pursue her dreams. The books make great gifts for family and friends.

Her poetry have been featured in Rolling Out Magazine an Urban Publication in the metro area that showcased her poem Dream On Dreamer.    Her work is also on the internet at www.poetry.com, and in a book compiled by poetry.com Celebration of Poets.     Her testimony God's Divine Purpose was featured in I've Got a Testimony, a quarterly book published by Ms. Rhonda Miller.     She also writes and designs personalized poetry plaques for Mrs.Georgia Simmons owner of Party Times Too located in East Point, Georgia. She was featured as one of the authors showcased during the National Black Arts 10-day literary festival.

She is currently a member of Integrity Networking Group founded by Mrs. Josie Terry. She is also a member of the Georgia's Writer's Association. Prather's goal is to become a freelance writer, writing for greeting card, magazine, and newspaper companies. Eventually she would like to own her own distribution and publishing company. She credits God for allowing her to live out her dreams and for making all things possible.
